READ ALL ABOUT IT!! My roommate and I made the news; three local papers in response to the Condo-conversion flood that is happening all throughout Tampa! We’re just one of the many forced to make a decision on whether to stay or leave. I personally don’t think I can afford a $257K condo at this point in my life. They won’t let me downgrade to a one-bedroom so looks like I will have to leave my quaint village and find another dwelling come November 2005.

I dodged Hurricane Charley and was out of town for this past Hurricane Frances. A lot of people were concerned with what happened in the South Tampa area near Bayshore and downtown where I live. Below is the only evidence that remains,
photos taken from tbo.com. When I returned home Tuesday the water had subsided with minimal damage and debris in the area. In the first photo you can see Edison St. leading out to Bayshore, six streets over from mine.
I’m crossing my fingers that Hurricane Ivan takes a detour to avoid Tampa in the next few days.
