A Nightmare on Elm Street Remake!!

Animated Freddy Krueger Glove

It was only a matter of time! With all the classic horror films slowly being redone to suit a younger audience, only a few have retained the gritty, frightening, blood-stained qualities of their predecessors. I’m not too sure what to make of the new Nightmare on Elm Street remake but can only be hopeful that the writing and character development stay true to Wes Craven’s original. Granted a few great sequels have spawned from the series but the stories soon became unimaginative and corny.

Æon Flux

Æon Flux

Ever since Liquid Television aired on MTV in the early 90s, I’ve been infatuated with Æon Flux. From that series, Peter Chung’s character was so well-received that it spurred a regular cartoon series of it’s own. There was serious talk of doing a live-action version of the character and, after 8 years of deliberation, Charlize Theron was finally cast to play the role of Æon after winning the 2004 Oscar for Monster. Paramount Studios is paying her $10 million to play the part of the domineering double agent. Shooting started in Berlin last month and just yesterday Charlize suffered a neck injury due to stunts performed on a trampoline. Hopefully Charlize will have a quick recovery and production will not be postponed too long.
